Security Procedures
TEMPLARS HOTEL
- Use ID card provided at registration desk
- Collaborate with preventive security measures in place
- Respect Hotel safety and security standards
- Know the places where the various events take place
- Pay attention to the movement of people who, without justifiable reason, remain nearby, and report to Security Liaison
- Do not allow strangers and unidentified persons access to the event areas, and inform Security Liaison
- Keep only the minimum money required
- Do not carry important documents unnecessarily
- Do not leave important documents or personal effects visible or accessible to third parties
- At times outside the event, departures from the hotel should be assembled in groups
- Be discreet when dealing with event matters, especially outside the event environment
- Emergency meeting point at bus station in front of the hotel entrance
AROUND TOWN
- Obey the indications of the public security forces
- Respect traffic signs
- Always circulate on sidewalk
- Always walk the left-hand sidewalk facing the cars
- Check if vehicles are moving at high or low speed and are near or far from where you will cross
- Choose a place where you can see vehicles in the distance and where you are clearly visible to drivers so that you can see and be seen
- Let all vehicles pass and prepare to cross when all vehicles have passed or stopped
- At traffic lights only cross when pedestrian signal is green and double check for vehicles
- Before crossing the street, always look both ways to see if any vehicles are coming
- Always cross the street or road at the pedestrian crossing
- When crossing a crosswalk, stand on the right side so as not to meet pedestrians crossing in the other direction
- Avoid locations near parked vehicles, dustbins, bushes, or other obstacles such as around curves and at junctions and junctions without protected walkways
ACCIDENT VICTIM
In the event of a sudden illness or serious accident CALL 112.
You must
- Clearly state where the victim is and assure your safety
- Report simply how the accident occurred
- Give accurate indications of the victim's condition
- Ask the caller to repeat the message to make sure it is properly understood
- Contact Security Liaison
- Promote a calm environment, removing any curious and avoiding comments
- Calm and if possible, ask the victim for information about what happened
- Perform first aid according to the victim's condition and injuries sustained, if enabled
ASSAULT VICTIM
You must
- Do not try to run away
- Do not react
- Do not make sudden movements
- Stand still, always showing hands and follow burglar's orders
- Do not look into burglar's eyes
- Do not try to negotiate
- Do not try to master it
- Look for details that make the case easier to investigate, such as private signs, clothing, names, nicknames, words used, and accent in speech.

IN THE EVENT OF KIDNAPPING VICTIM
You must
- Do not react
- Do not offer yourself as a hostage
- Stay calm, patient, and willing to cooperate.
- Avoid sudden gestures that could be misinterpreted by the hijackers
- Do not harass or irritate hijackers
- Avoid sudden negatives
- Do not negotiate with hijackers
- Do not insist on conversations already rejected by them
- Do not offer suggestions
- Do not use any strategy to try to identify hijackers. If possible, and unknowingly, try to observe details that might facilitate the investigation of the case and the identification of the place of detention and persons, such as particular signs, clothing, names, nicknames, words used, accent in speech, sounds and outside noises.
- Try to rest and feed yourself
- Talk if you need medicine or medical assistance
- When police help arrives, get ready to throw yourself or be thrown to the ground
- Avoid making statements to the press without guidance
- Only run away if you are sure of success and that this attitude will not endanger other hostages
- If released, do not return to location
IN THE EVENT OF TERRORIST ACTS
In the event of a terrorist attack, the most important thing is to remain calm and contact Security Liaison and/or alert the police station as soon as possible.
You must
- Be aware of what is happening around you
- Be especially alert to strange behaviour
- Do not accept gifts such as packages and envelopes from people you do not know
- If you detect something strange, if possible leave the place where you are and inform the Security Liaison
- Do not offer any resistance
- Be a passive collaborator, obeying the terrorist(s), responding only to what is requested
- Identify as many signs as possible in the terrorist(s), such as clothing, accent and characteristic signs
- Record all the information you see and hear
